Build Your Seating Chart Let Guests Pick Their Own Seats

Draw your room or start from a layout, from banquet rounds to a pickleball court. Print it for the door, or open it for reserved seating so guests pick their seat when they RSVP.

A chart built in the editor: two seated sections, tables and a stage, coloured by price tier.

What you can do

Everything You Need to Seat Your Guests

Build a chart once, keep it in My seating charts, and use it for every event that needs it.

  • Let guests pick their own seats

    • Reserved seating on your event's tickets
    • Guests pick their seat on the chart when they RSVP
    • A picked seat is held while they check out, so no one else takes it
    • Each event keeps its own copy, so later edits never move a sold seat
  • Hold seats for VIPs and sponsors

    • Hold seats back for sponsors, cast and family
    • Give held seats an access code to unlock them
    • Colour seats into price tiers
  • Limit seats per person, and keep groups together

    • Set how many seats one guest can take
    • Guests pick two or more seats in one order
    • Sell a round table as a whole table
  • Mark wheelchair spaces and companion seats

    • Mark any seat as a wheelchair space or a companion seat
    • Guests can show only accessible seating
    • They book a wheelchair space and a companion seat together, online
  • Let players claim a spot or a position

    • Fields, diamonds and courts drawn under the chart
    • Named positions such as goalie, SS or QB
    • Open spots for a pickup game: Spot 1, Spot 2
  • Start from a layout

    • 60 ready-made layouts, or a blank canvas
    • Banquet rounds, theater rows, poker and D&D tables
    • Fields and courts with positions already placed
  • Print your seating chart

    • The chart, its name and a legend on one page
    • Seats per tier, accessible seats and holds counted for you
    • Hand it to your venue team or post it at the door
  • See who's sitting where

    • Open the chart from your event's registrations
    • Tap a seat to see who has it, and their email
    • Check guests in by seat at the door
  • Save charts to your venue

    • Save a chart to a location so other organizers can use it
    • Keep layouts per venue, like "Gym: Basketball" and "Gym: Banquet"
    • See who made each layout; only its maker can edit it
  • Coming next

    • Seat questions: only guests whose answer fits can take a seat or spot (coming soon)
    • Later: charts on forms and websites

How it works

Build a Seating Chart in 3 Steps

From a layout to a printed chart, or to guests picking their own seats.

  1. Start from a layout

Open Seating Charts from More Tools and pick a layout (a theater, a banquet, a field or a court) or a blank canvas.

  2. Make it your room

Add rows, tables and standing areas, hold seats for VIPs, mark wheelchair spaces and colour seats into price tiers.

  3. Print it or open it for RSVPs

Save it, print a PDF, or pick it for your event's tickets so guests pick their own seats or spots.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need an event to make a seating chart?

No. Make a chart by itself from Seating Charts in the More Tools menu, save it, and print it whenever you need it. Use it for an event later if you want guests to pick their seats.

Can guests pick their own seats?

Yes. Pick a saved chart for one of your event's tickets. Guests then pick their seat on the chart when they RSVP, and it is held for them while they check out.

Can I hold seats for VIPs or sponsors?

Yes. Hold any seats in the editor. Give held seats an access code, and only guests with the code can pick them.

Can I limit how many seats one person takes?

Yes. Set a limit per person, and the chart will not let a guest pick more than that.

How do wheelchair spaces work?

Mark any seat as a wheelchair space or a companion seat. Guests can show only accessible seating, and book a wheelchair space and a companion seat together, online, with no phone call.

Can I use this for a game?

Yes, for one-time games and tournament days. Start from a field or court layout, pick a team size, and players claim the position or spot they want to play. Recurring events are not supported yet.

Do players have to pay?

No. Seats, positions and spots can be free or priced like any ticket.

What is in the PDF?

One page with the chart, its name, its seat count and a legend: each tier with its colour and seats, seats with no tier, accessible seats and holds.

Can I use one chart for many events?

Yes. Pick it for each event. Every event keeps its own copy of the chart, so editing the chart later never moves a seat someone already bought.

Can someone else edit my chart?

No. Only you can edit or delete the charts you create. If you save a chart to a location, other organizers can see it and who made it, and save their own layout instead.

Can I keep some seats for certain guests only?

Not yet. Seat questions, where only guests whose answer fits can take a seat or spot, are coming soon. Today, hold the seats and share an access code.

Can I put a chart on a form or my website?

Not yet. Charts work on events today; forms and websites are coming later.
